How do I find the perfect location?

Locationhero takes you to your dream location in three different ways:

1. with the intelligent filter search: sort your locations according to categories such as residential or commercial properties, location and motif, i.e. room or area, in order to arrive at a precisely fitting result as quickly as possible.


2. with the photo inspiration: Click through our entire collection of motifs on our homepage. You're sure to find the right one - and lots of other ideas.


3. with individual advice by email: Send your request to info@locationhero.de, together with as many details as possible about your requirements and, ideally, some mood pictures. Our staff will then put together further suggestions for you.

How do I find out if the location is available?

As soon as you have registered on Locationhero, you can request your desired location in two different ways:

1. click on the "Request location" button in the window of your location. The location will now be saved under the menu item "My requests". As soon as you want to make a binding request, open it under "My requests - Open request". Now you can request the availability of the location together with all the other locations saved there. Costs may be incurred from this point on! More on this under "Costs & payment".

2. if you would first like to collect locations without obligation, you can do this on your "pinboard". You can also access the menu item "Open request" from here.

Important:

Once you have sent a request, you cannot add any more locations to it or delete it. This is only possible with a new request! That's why it's easier for you to make a collective request per project/shoot. Then you don't have to send us the important information about the project twice and three times.

Who do I sign the location contract with?

The location rental contract is between you and the location provider, location scout or location agent. We will clarify the availability, location rental and production conditions for you in advance. As soon as you have made a firm booking, we will put you in touch with the location provider so that you can work together smoothly.

Important:

In exceptional cases (e.g. if you don't have liability insurance), our location providers insist that Locationhero acts as . However, we would point this out to you before making a fixed booking, as this is associated with additional costs.

Can I also book my locations by e-mail or telephone?

No, bookings are only made online via the website. To do this, you confirm the offer within your user account in the "My requests" section.

Can I also book if I don't have liability insurance?

With every location request, we check whether you have valid liability insurance. If you answer "yes" to this question, you must be able to provide proof of insurance. If you do not have valid liability insurance, we will endeavor to arrange this for you for the production period. This is an additional service. See "Services & prices".

Can I save my locations without obligation?

You can collect your favorite locations on your "pinboard". You can also create different pinboards with different titles if you are looking for locations for several shoots/projects.

Use the "Add to pinboard" button to simply add the location you have found to the pinboard of your choice. You can rename the pinboards, remove and move individual locations or delete entire pinboards. You can request the availability of individual locations or all locations on a pinboard.

Can I view the location in advance?

Yes, as soon as a location has been offered to you, you can request a tour of the location.

Who do I contact if I have any questions?

You can discuss all detailed questions with the Locationhero team via a chat function, which is available to you during the inquiry period. As soon as you have booked the location, we will establish contact between you and the location provider or scout. From now on, you can discuss everything else directly with the location provider.

How long does it take to receive a confirmation / How do I find out the status of my request?

You request locations directly from the motif provider - they will contact you as soon as they have received and read the request - usually within 24 to 48 hours.

You will be informed of any changes to the status of your request by e-mail.

How do I offer a location?

We are always happy to receive new locations, as we have customers with a wide variety of wishes and requirements. Register here as a location provider and get started right away!

By uploading information and images, the offer will be checked and published promptly.

Am I contractually covered?

You conclude a location contract with the client or production company either directly or via your location agent. The contract includes the duration of the shoot (including set-up and dismantling days) and specifies the location rental/payment method, insurance issues, cleaning and handover of the location.

My location is requested. What happens now?

If a customer is interested in your location, we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss the conditions with you. Once we have your approval, we give the customer the green light. He now has 5 working days to book or cancel your location. Please bear in mind that our customers always request several locations in order to be able to choose from various available options. An availability request is therefore not always the same as a booking!

What costs will I incur?

The search is free of charge. In the event of a successful rental, 15% of the offer price will be charged for self-management or 20% for management by an agent. This enables our customers to find & rent your location on our portal.

How do I get in touch with customers?

As soon as you receive an inquiry, you can respond to it with an offer.

Is my address publicly visible?

No. Your address and contact details are not published at any time and are safe with us. If a booking is successfully arranged, the data stored will be visible to the customer.

How long does it take for my location to be confirmed?

You should expect approx. 3-5 working days.

Can I offer several locations as a location scout?

Yes, you can offer several locations in your profile.

How do I take proper photos of my location?

Do I offer my location myself or does Locationhero act as an intermediary?

You can decide whether you create your listing yourself and receive inquiries from customers directly, or whether Locationhero manages the inquiries for you.

Why is registration necessary?

We need your contact and billing information to make the process of requesting and processing a smooth one. This creates the binding nature and transparency of supply and demand that is important for Locationhero.

How can I create an account?

How do I change the email address I use for Locationhero?

You can easily do this in your user account. Here you can also change your user data and password.

What does Locationhero cost me?

Nothing at first! A Locationhero account and the motif search on our website are free of charge.

What does a location cost per day?

The location rental depends on many factors, such as the type and scope of the project, team size, etc.. For this reason, there can be no flat-rate prices on Locationhero, which is why each request is negotiated individually. The locations have indicated a guide price, which refers to a day photo shoot with a smaller team of up to approx. 15 people. You can speed up the response to your inquiry by specifying your ideas about the location budget.

What payment options are available?

You can pay for your booking on Locationhero with PayPal, invoice or credit card.

What should I indicate if the invoice does not go to me?

If you are not paying for the request or booking yourself, please enter additional invoice recipients in the request. You can enter several invoice recipients in advance in your user account under "Address book".

When will the payment be made?

At checkout, unless an agreement has been made for invoice customers.
